BrainCo Claims Mind-Controlled Robot Platform at China’s World AI Conference

By editorial News

Hangzhou-based BrainCo has unveiled a “brain-controlled” robot platform at the World AI Conference in China, claiming users can operate robots using only their thoughts. The system employs an electroencephalogram (EEG) headset that captures neural signals, which are then decoded by AI algorithms to identify the user’s intentions and convert them into direct robotic actions. BrainCo positions the technology as a major step forward in embodied artificial intelligence, where AI is integrated into physical machines such as robots, enabling them to perceive, reason, and interact with the real world.

Platform Compatibility and Demonstration

According to the company, the platform is compatible with a wide range of third-party hardware, including humanoid robots, robotic arms, and robotic dogs. In a demonstration, a robotic arm was shown grasping a cup and picking up an apple based solely on the user’s brain signals. The announcement comes as global technology firms intensify their efforts to develop powerful embodied AI systems, integrating artificial intelligence into physical machines to allow them to perceive, reason, and interact with the physical world.
