DEEPX and Sixfab Launch 'DEEPX AI HAT' to Drive Edge Physical AI on Raspberry Pi
DEEPX, an on-device AI semiconductor pioneer, today announced a partnership with Sixfab, an Official Raspberry Pi Design Partner, to deliver the Sixfab AI HAT+ for Raspberry Pi 5. Powered by DEEPX's ultra-low-power NPU technology, the new edge AI acceleration board enables real-time, high-performance AI inference without relying on cloud connectivity.
Empowering Edge AI on Raspberry Pi
Marked as "Intelligentized by DEEPX," the product brings robust Physical AI capabilities to the Raspberry Pi 5 ecosystem. By integrating DEEPX's proprietary NPU, the DEEPX AI HAT runs complex embedded AI models locally and in real time, providing an optimized balance of computational power and energy efficiency. This makes the board ideal for power-constrained environments such as robotics, smart agriculture, and factory automation.
"By pairing Raspberry Pi's versatility with our low-power NPU, we aim to drive the democratization of Physical AI so that anyone can build and deploy advanced AI solutions," said Lokwon Kim, CEO of DEEPX. "This launch is a cornerstone of our long-term strategy to cultivate future talent and developer ecosystems."
Developer Ecosystem and Availability
To accelerate commercial adoption, DEEPX and Sixfab are rolling out a comprehensive developer package that includes developer-friendly SDKs for seamless model compilation and instant edge deployment. The package also features a production-ready Starter Kit designed to lower entry barriers for global developers and enterprises.
"The DEEPX AI HAT offers our global community of enterprise developers and makers a highly efficient path to scale edge AI applications," said Roger Thornton, Director of Applications at Raspberry Pi.
The DEEPX AI HAT will soon be available worldwide through authorized distribution channels. Looking ahead, DEEPX and Raspberry Pi anticipate further technical cooperation to elevate the platform as an enterprise-grade AI edge node, expanding collaborations with governments, academia, and industries globally.
