By editorial News

PORTLAND, Maine — Geo Week News has issued a final call for geospatial professionals to participate in its newly launched Field Reality survey, a comprehensive research initiative aimed at capturing the real-world challenges and workflow obstacles facing the industry. Responses are being accepted through June 26, 2026.

The survey, titled Field Reality: A Geo Week News Survey of Geospatial Professionals, is designed to gather direct, practitioner-driven insights into the daily realities of geospatial work. Topics include workflow bottlenecks, technology and tool gaps, data integration hurdles, and professional development needs.

A Practitioner-Driven Snapshot of the Industry

“At Geo Week News, we’re always looking for ways to better serve the geospatial community — not just by covering the industry, but by helping identify the challenges practitioners are navigating and contributing to solutions,” said Carla Lauter, Senior Content Manager at Geo Week News. “The Field Reality survey is an opportunity for professionals across every sector and role to make their voices heard. The more perspectives we gather, the more useful and representative the findings will be.”

The confidential survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. Results will be published by Geo Week News and shared with the broader geospatial community to foster a clearer understanding of current industry strengths and pain points.
