Ondas acquires DZYNE for $875.8M, expanding its defense capabilities - The Robot Report
Ondas Inc. last week completed the acquisition of DZYNE Technologies LLC, an Irvine, Calif.-based defense technology company, in a deal valued at $875.8 million. The transaction was financed through a combination of cash and stock. Ondas, headquartered in West Palm Beach, Fla., closed an underwritten offering of 46 million shares of common stock last year, raising approximately $217 million to help fund the acquisition.
Strategic Rationale and Capabilities
Ondas stated that the acquisition brings complementary technologies across multi-domain intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); counter-uncrewed aerial systems (UAS); precision strike; mission intelligence; and autonomous systems. The combined portfolio aims to address evolving needs of U.S. and allied defense customers.
“The character of warfare is changing rapidly, and military advantage increasingly belongs to organizations capable of deploying autonomous systems at scale,” said Eric Brock, chairman and CEO of Ondas. “DZYNE brings exceptional technology, world-class engineering talent and mission-ready systems across long-endurance ISR, counter-UAS, and autonomous effects.”
He added that the combination accelerates Ondas’ development of a next-generation autonomous defense platform by integrating complementary, mission-proven technologies into a scaled operating platform.

DZYNE’s Key Product Strengths
Founded in 2012, DZYNE specializes in rapid design, development, and deployment of advanced systems, integrating artificial intelligence into long-endurance autonomous aircraft. Its ULTRA system is a long-endurance autonomous aircraft capable of multi-day ISR over large areas, with tens of thousands of operational flight hours already logged. Ondas said the addition of DZYNE expands its ISR portfolio from tactical to stratospheric and long-endurance theater capabilities.
DZYNE’s IonStrike is a fully kinetic autonomous interceptor designed to detect, track, and physically defeat hostile drones, specifically targeting the Iranian-designed Shahed-136 class of one-way attack drones. The company also brings Dronebuster, a handheld counter-UAS system that works with IonStrike to provide layered aerial security.
Additionally, DZYNE’s autonomous system family includes the Blitz Group 1 UAS, which offers 150 km range, swarm capabilities, and a modular open architecture, and the Grasshopper autonomous cargo glider capable of delivering up to 500 pounds of supplies into contested areas.
Revenue Projections and Future Outlook
Ondas expects DZYNE to generate $191 million in revenue for the full year 2026 and more than $300 million in 2027. Including DZYNE, Ondas is now targeting at least $525 million in revenue for 2026. Ondas, founded in 2006, sells robots, drones, and networking technology through its Ondas Autonomous Systems (OAS) and Ondas Networks units, serving industries such as rail, energy, public safety, critical infrastructure, and government markets.
Formation of Ondas Sentinel Division
Ondas has established Ondas Sentinel, a dedicated U.S. operating division that unifies its growing portfolio of autonomous defense technologies. Initially intended to integrate World View and DZYNE, Sentinel now combines persistent ISR, counter-UAS, autonomous effects, and mission intelligence into a scalable organization. The company said Sentinel will support larger, integrated defense programs while leveraging common technology roadmaps, manufacturing, sustainment, and AI-enabled mission software.
Ryan Hartman, CEO of World View, has been appointed CEO of Ondas Sentinel, while Matt McCue, co-founder and CEO of DZYNE, will serve as chief technology officer of Ondas Sentinel.
