Oversonic Robotics Gains New Investors to Accelerate Cognitive Humanoid Robot RoBee

By editorial News

Oversonic Robotics, the Italian developer of the certified cognitive humanoid robot RoBee, has announced that STMicroelectronics, Fondazione ENEA Tech Biomedical, and SpotInvest have acquired stakes in the company. The investment aims to accelerate the industrial, technological, and international growth of Oversonic, particularly in expanding applications for RoBee in manufacturing and healthcare, while strengthening its presence in the United States.

The new shareholders join existing partners including Comat, Datalogic, and AVM SGR through the Cysero fund, reinforcing a corporate structure designed to create value around RoBee's ecosystem.

RoBee: A Humanoid Robot for Complex Environments

At the heart of Oversonic's growth strategy is RoBee, the first cognitive humanoid robot certified to operate in factories. RoBee works alongside humans, interacting with operators and other robotic systems using artificial intelligence. Already operational in Italy and abroad, the robot is designed for complex work environments. The company plans to accelerate development of the technological platform, expand applications in manufacturing and healthcare, strengthen its team, and scale industrial capacity.

Shareholders Bring Distinct Expertise

Each new investor brings specific strengths to Oversonic. STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader, will contribute industrial drive, new technology development, and strategic support for advanced manufacturing. Fondazione ENEA Tech Biomedical supports Oversonic's path in certified humanoids for healthcare applications. SpotInvest, an investment vehicle linked to entrepreneur Marco Setti, opens opportunities in service automation and the food industry.

United States Expansion and International Growth

Oversonic views the United States as a natural market for cognitive humanoid robotics, both commercially and industrially. The company has already established an operational presence in the country and intends to strengthen dialogue with industrial partners, investors, and clients. The goal is to position Oversonic as a leading deep tech scale-up internationally.

Leadership Comments on the Milestone

"With RoBee, we are bringing humanoid robotics into real environments, from factories to healthcare, transforming an advanced technological platform into an application infrastructure serving the industry," said Fabio Puglia, Chairman, and Paolo Denti, CEO of Oversonic. "Italy remains our technological and industrial base, but Europe and the United States are the markets where the next dimensional leap will be played."

Fabio Gualandris, President of Quality, Manufacturing and Technology at STMicroelectronics, added: "Automation, AI and robotics are key enablers of the future of manufacturing. Our commitment to advancing these technologies reflects our focus on improving adaptability, safety and efficiency, while helping shape the next generation of humanoid robotics for industrial use."
